Townsend Theatre Productions presents

One Man Magic Lantern show by Neil Gore based on the classic book by Robert Tressell.

‘The man of many characters’, actor Neil Gore, presents an Edwardian Magic Show with Magic Lantern and projected animation; political conjuring tricks and live music and song, as we meet the famous characters from the book and follow the events that surround the painters and decorators who are charged with the renovation of a large town house for local Mayor Sweater.

This entertaining one-man show includes scenes, speeches, audience participation and songs from the classic book, featuring the Great Money Trick as its centrepiece.

Age guidance: 11+

'A strong and robust show that brings the characters, humour and inspirational ideas of this great book to life. It is needed now more than ever. You'll leave the theatre and join the struggle!' Ken Loach, Film Director.
★★★★  'Tremendous' The Times.
10/10       'Sensational' Liverpool Echo
★★★★  'Highly entertaining' Whatsonstage
