The Lurkers were formed in West London in summer 1976 by New York Dolls fans, Esso, Pete Stride, Howard Wall and Nigel Moore.

With only 5 songs in their repertoire one of them being their first single shadow, they played their debut gig at Uxbridge Technical College supporting screaming Lord Sutch. Gigs were to follow at the legendary Roxy Club with The Jam, Slaughter and The Dogs etc.

The band immediately picked up a large mainly working class local following who went everywhere they played. Never darlings of trendy journalists or the fashion-led Kings Road poseurs, The Lurkers forged their own furrow releasing their simple brand of ultra-catchy pop punk over many singles throughout the late 1970s.

So from 1987 till the present day Arturo has become the face of The Lurkers to many people, playing 1000s of gigs all around the world and still as dedicated to the punk scene as ever, pumping out the old faves and many new favourites.

So the old stalwart rocks on and after 36 years shows no sign of stopping doing what they love best, playing music and recording. As Arturo says, "it’s his life", long may The Lurkers keep the music alive.

Support: KNOCK OFF

Formed in September 2013, KNOCK OFF are a hard hitting punk trio, taking influences from the early 80's U.K punk scene. Thirty years on and the country’s still a mess. KNOCK OFF’s sound is fuelled by anger and disillusionment at a country going down the pan and life in general. A raw and powerful sound mixed with anger, energy and passion, with stick in your head choruses, KNOCK OFF will leave their mark.

With 2 albums under their belts released through Step-1 Music and Randale Records and a Single launched through Human Punk Records KNOCK OFF are aiming to be heard.

A KNOCK OFF gig can be described as an onslaught of energy, with hard and fast songs alongside anthems with stick in your head choruses. With supports with many big names such as The Buzzcocks, Sham 69, The Business, Old Firm Casuals and The U.K.Subs, KNOCK OFF are becoming regulars on the festival scene, packing out the Arena stage at Rebellion 2 years running.
