Collar and Cuffs Theatre Company. Presented by Littlestock

Be not afeard. The isle is full of noises, sounds, and sweet airs that give delight and hurt not. How do we help our children grow the skills to be confidently curious about their world at a time when anxiety and overwhelm affect so many? We explore this challenge with a sensory musical version of The Tempest suitable for 0-7s and fully inclusive for those with special and/or complex needs.

Expect a twangling, painty, touchy, feely, smelly, and magical adventure delivered with our signature warmth. Signed and Relaxed.

The production will be semi-immersive and provide a range of sensory experiences that children and their grown-ups can interact with to help co-create the story. Each experience will offer a safe and supported challenge to gently encourage children to explore unfamiliar and unexpected textures, smells, tastes, sounds and movements, and to feel less Afeard as they do so; parents/carers will be supported in offering co-regulation to help children move between states of feeling safe and attached into uncertainty and anxiety, and to be soothed towards growing confident curiosity. Painting screens will be integrated into the performance to enable audiences to develop the set, with each set of screens being utterly unique to each and every show

Age guidance: 0-7 years old

Please note: Shows are fully accessible for children aged 0-7, and are only ever performed in a relaxed style to accommodate a wide range of needs; content may also be suitable for young people. Our babes in arms free entry policy only applies to children under 6 months for this show.
