The Griffin Players present
Tickets are available on the door before performances or via the Griffins Players Website.
Set in the Lower East Side of New York, at the end of the millennium, Rent is a rock opera that tells the story of a group of young Bohemians as they struggle to create and survive.
Their lives are over shadowed by the rise of AIDS and life is pretty bleak until Angel bursts onto the scene with the motto “Today for you, tomorrow for me”!
Rent was composed by Jonathan Larson and is based on Puccini’s opera La Boheme. It quickly became a contemporary classic and ‘Seasons of Love’ has become a much loved theatrical anthem.
Age guidance: 16+ (contains reference to AIDS and gender issues)
Luton Library Theatre has been hired for this event.
