Artsmark and Arts Award
Do you support and promote arts and culture within your school? If so, have you thought about getting national recognition by gaining Artsmark status?
What is Artsmark?
Artsmark is the creative quality standard for schools, accredited by Arts Council England. Visit the Artsmark website https://www.artsmark.org.uk/ to find out how your school can be recognised for championing arts and culture.
How Luton Culture can help
From theatre performances to art workshops, there are many ways Luton Culture can help you meet the Artsmark criteria. Our Theatre trips for schools, libraries and museums are also places that your pupils can visit on their Arts journey.
So go on, use Artsmark to shout about what you do and don’t forget to let us know when you achieve your Artsmark status. We would love to help you celebrate your success on our website and share good practice through case studies.
What is Arts Award?
Arts Award is an accredited certificate for children and young people aged 5 – 25. The award is a great way for children and young people to be inspired by and enjoy the arts. It is offered at five levels, four accredited and one introductory award. We are an Arts Award Centre and have several trained advisors who can help you if you are thinking about completing an Arts Award.
Luton Culture is an advocate of both Artsmark and Arts Award. We can help organisations meet the Artsmark criteria and assist individuals and groups to achieve their Arts Award. Luton Culture offers a range of opportunities to access the arts from theatre performances to art workshops. Check out our What’s On to find out opportunities there are currently available for schools.
