Pakistan Unit - Foreign & Commonwealth Office presents

The British High Commission (BHC) in Islamabad launched its campaign to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of UK-Pakistan relations in 2017 with the message of ‘Shared History, Shared Future’ and the hashtag of #UKPak70. As part of this campaign they have commissioned Sara Farid, a freelance photojournalist working for Thomson Reuters, to carry out this project.

Sara Farid has taken photographs of all the work the UK has done in Pakistan; high quality impactful pictures of projects run by British Council in Punjab and Sindh, British Council libraries in Karachi and Lahore, Department of International Development, projects in Punjab and KPK and infrastructure which the UK has helped build in Pakistan.

These photographs were exhibited at the Queen’s Birthday Party in Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi in the end April. The BHC in Islamabad is bringing the exhibition to London, Luton, Manchester, Birmingham, Bradford and Glasgow.
