The relationship between the Indian sub-continent and Britain dates back to 1600. The talk will discuss what Britain got from India while they were there and the purpose of British rule.

Discussing the defining features of partition including ethnicity, religious groups and the fallout, and looking at where we are today with Indians in Britain.

Panel Chair: Dr Fatima Rajina - Recently completed her PhD at University of London, looking at Bangladeshi Muslims and culture.
