This year in Luton Music’s prestigious series of chamber concerts, Music on Mondays, at least 50% of music programmed is to have been written by female composers.
(Violin, Trumpet, Saxophone & Piano)
A fascinating programme with this unusual combination of instruments, including La Création du Monde by Milhaud. Unfamiliar work such as Mauricio Kagel’s Nosferatu and Ghosts Before Breakfast by Jean Hasse will be supported by filmed images. With a première of Charlotte Bray’s new version of Soft City this is exciting new repertoire imaginatively explored.
Luton Library Theatre has been hired for this performance.
