Mischief Makers Summer Reading Challenge 2018

Saturday 14 July - Saturday 8 September 2018

The Summer Reading Challenge is an immensely popular and successful reading initiative.

It is created and run by the Reading Agency, an independent charity working to inspire more people to read, and to read more, and is supported by children's publishers.

The Summer Reading Challenge is simple. Children are encouraged to read six books or more of their choice during the holidays with collectable incentives and rewards, plus a certificate for every child who completes the Challenge. 0 - 3 year olds can also take part in a mini-Summer Reading Challenge.

This year's Summer Reading Challenge is Mischief Makers, so come and join us for pranks galore and a ton of fun this summer!

From Monday 30 July to Sunday 5 August why not bring your favourite joke or prank to your local library and help us compile our very own joke book.

Or from Monday 13 August to Sunday 19 August come dressed as your favourite Beano character or use our props, take a selfie with our selfie frame and post your pictures on Social Media.

Plus throughout the duration of the Summer Reading Challenge you can collect special stickers to help find the mysterious buried treasure. Follow clues to explore your very own collector’s map of Beanotown; meeting Dennis, Gnasher and friends along the way.
