Luton Poetry Society

Luton Poetry Society is a group of poets and lovers of poetry who come together to read and discuss poetry in the friendly atmosphere of Luton Central Library. Established in June 2011 by Luton Poet Mary Emeji, we aim to promote poetry throughout  Luton town, by organising poetry events each month, giving poets the opportunity to read their work, and also encouraging aspiring poets to write. We sometimes have a special theme on a particular day which gingers up each member to write something new! We display books published by our poets during our meetings, and even set up a profile for each poet on our website thereby creating more publicity for their work.

Our meetings take place on the last Saturday of the each month at Luton Central Library (3rd Floor), from 2.00pm - 4.00pm (with a friendly break in-between).

Everyone who loves to read, write or listen to poetry is welcome to join us for £25 per year or £4 a session.
